I'm looking for specs for a rudder. I recently purchased an O'Day 22, and only the rudder is missing. Thanks.

I just purchased a 1974 20ft ODAY. First boat I bought. I got a great deal so I feel I am already ahead. If anyone and point me in the direction of parts would be great. I am in Dallas.

I am returning to the site from two years ago. During that time the Oday 22 has been moored in the water outside of Parrot Jungle Island.. It sails well and it is a great getaway spot to read or sleep when I want to get away. I will post photos of the sailboat soon.

My dad just gave me a '72 model 22' O'Day. Its been in field since 2001. I've just started the renovation project by evicting some long term "residents" and removing a lot of trash.

I need to remove the floor in the salon in order to clean the last of the dirt and sludge out of the bliges. My salon deck looks like it sealed into the hull. I really don't want to cut it out in order to clean out the last of the gunk..

Can anybody give me any hints?

Thanks Dave Brinkley

This is a bit off topic, but does anybody know the specific differences between the O'Day 22 and the O'Day 222? I've heard that the 222 is lighter, and handles better, better for racing and has several other improvements, but I've yet to come across anything in writing that documents this. Any info would be greatly appreciated, feel free to email me with it: susan@business-sanity.com

What a great looking little boat. Reminds me of one I had 20 years ago. Since then, I have paid a mortgage and a jeep loan. If I had the cash, I would grab it. Young as I look and (am),I DO have grandkids, and my grandson lives 2 miles inland from this craft.I would love to be back on the water again and teaching him the joys of crusing up Indian Arm!
Great Site!

thanks for all the info on this site. i'll probably update my surf site - www.coastalsurvey.com -- with my sailing adventures too.
