Looks like great fun! A word of caution – be sure to check your through deck chainplate fittings. They are fairly insubstantial and are known to fail- then the mast goes over. It happened on my 22 in Buzzards Bay. Years later I saw another O’day 22 at dockside with the same problem. The white metal port side chainplate had simply fatigued and pulled apart. As the mast goes over it pulls out the tabernacle. What a mess!. I’d replace both sides with new hardware ASAP.

Where do you keep your Oday 22?
I have an Oday 222 that I keep in dry storage at the Catalina yard. I’ve been there for almost a year. I bought the boat about 15 months ago from a freshwater sailor up at Big Bear Lake. I go out often, sometimes solo or with my wife and 4 year old. Have you ever made an overnight trip to Santa Barbara?
