tillerman, i couldn't agree with you more. I can't stand PWCs myself and many PWC operators are the worst mariners i have ever come across.

I can only imagine what you were thinking as the boat drifted off with you on the dock! My first sailing experience was on a Hobie 16 in Pamlico Sound with winds only slightly less stiff. We pitchpoled twice and capsized on a jibe (all in about three hours). We didn't have to get rescued though... especially by a jetski ;) I guess Elie is going to have to hone his stiff wind sailing skills a bit!

Hey - you have to go out on those winds if you are ever going to learn how to handle them. Anyone can forgive you for letting your buddy go off on his own, can forgive him for capsizing, can admire your efforts to save him...

But having a jetski come to your rescue -- that is the worst, most shameful, most embarrasing thing that could happen to a sailor. Never let it happen again!
