Capri 14 for sale in Santa Barbara for $200
Andre went to go see this boat in Santa Barbara for sale today. It is a Catalina Capri 14 without a trailer. For $200 it sounds like an awesome deal. Andre just doesn’t know where he could store it. I offered to donate my utility trailer to haul it around if he buys it. For one think Marlene wants me to get rid of it anyways and this is would be a perfect trailer for a little boat like this. He sent me a couple of photos he took while he was checking it out from his camera phone…

Looks like its in fairly good condition from what I can tell. Should be a pretty good buy as long as he can find a place to store it….

turns out this thing needs a lot of work. Would be a good parts boat or a good hull to be mated with a parts boat. By itself we are probably looking at needing to put in another 500 bucks minimum get it into sailable condition… Andre and I will keep looking.

Hi there:
Driving home from sailing my capri14 at one of our local lakes in Phoenix, I ran a red light and was in a pretty bad accident. No one was hurt, fortunately, but my Capri 14 and the trailer are really beat up. The trailer is mangled and the boat has 3 holes in it. I’m afraid it’s going to be very costly to repair. I have new sails new rigging, etc., and was wondering if this boat was still available. I know you posted this a year ago but I have some many new parts for my boat this might be a good match if I can find a trailer.
